Mimi and Poppy got Covid!! Logan had Surgery and I turned 40!!

So... the day that Mimi and Poppy were scheduled to get their COVID vaccines, they tested positive for COVID.  Uncle Brock had tested positive and since Mimi and Poppy had been around them and started feeling a little sick, they decided to get tested and sure enough it came back positive.   They didn't really feel bad.  They had some chills, a little bit of congestion  and then the tiredness set in a few days later.  Mimi bounced back but Poppy Ken never got better.  His congestion continued and his cough continued. He mentioned that it hurt to breathe and so we decided he needed to go get his Oxygen checked. When he did, they said it was too low and that he needed to go to the hospital.  So mama drove him to the hospital and he ended up staying three nights in the hospital.  They gave him antibiotics and a steroid and meds to prevent blod clots.  It has been a month since then and he seems to have fully recovered.  There are still so many unknowns with this virus.  We never got it that we know of although Josh says he wouldn't have tested because then he would have had to miss work.  We had actually went out to eat for Mimi's birthday and were all together two days before Mimi and Poppy started showing symptoms and only hours before Brock but thankful we did not get it.  


On March 12th, Logan had surgery to have his Circumcision Revised.  We drove to Charlotte for the surgery and everything went super smooth.  They did have to put him to sleep but all went well.  Josh took off work and Kaitlyn rode with us.   We left at 4:45 am and we were back home by noon.   

On March 17th of 2021, I turned 40!  Josh thought I needed to have a birthday party so he threw me a party at Mills River Brewery.  I felt very blessed to have my family and friends there.  Daddy did not get to come because he had just got home from the hospital that day.

Uncle Jeff is living with Nana right now because he sold his condo so Jeff gets to see a lot of Logan when he is at Nana's and he loves his Uncle Jeff

Weston started preschool for the first time in August. We were nervous about him biting other children as he bites an often. He will bite our shoulders when things do lot go his way. He enjoys going to nursery at church and childcare at the YMCA so we were hopeful he would enjoy it. So far he has done great! I did get a notice from the school that he had been bit by another child. I had to read it twice to make sure I read it right but I did. Boy How Time Flies!

Well I can't believe Addison is 17 months old and Kaitlyn is a few days away from being 2 months old! We are all doing well. Addison is saying more and more words. She pretty much tries to repeat most of the words we say. Josh just keeps saying "She is so much fun". Addison is becoming more of a daddy's girl since I am always nursing Kaitlyn or picking up the house. She says "Dada" much more than "Mama." She now calls my father Papa and my mom Mimi. My father came up this weekend and if any of you know my father, of course, he bought us doughnuts. And Addison definitely knows the word doughnuts due to my dad. I am having to look for winter clothes for Addison so I am on the hunt for cheap winter outfits for her. Clothes are so expensive! Kaitlyn is growing out of all of her newborn size clothes but I keep putting them on her because I know she will never wear these cute outfits ever again. She has started cooing and she smiles a lot. 1 Year Old Birthday Party

I can't believe Addison is a year old today!! She had a wonderful turnout at her birthday party this past Saturday. I believe there were over 35 people total that came! She got many clothes, toys and socks. We are so thankful for all of her gifts. Tonight Josh and I took her to Cracker Barrell so she could have a pancake on her actual birthday. We sang "Happy Birthday" to her many times today and each time she smiled really big at us while we sang to her. Isn't this sweet! Addison with her aunt Kim. This is 4 generations and Addison was reaching for her aunt Kim. Here she wasn't being shy anymore. This was her personal cake and she wasn't sure if she could touch it.
