Another Beach Trip, Kaitlyn turns 11, and the girls start school!

We were able to go the beach again to the Seaside Club at Wrightsville Beach.  This was our third or fourth time staying there. It is a big house/country club with about 12 rooms.  They cook breakfast and dinner for you the tenants share a shower at the end of the hall.  It is oceanfront and the cousins love going with each other! It is a little different but the kids love it.  

 This year it was a little different due to COVID and a Category 1 Hurricane due to hit the Monday we were there.  It was only us and one other group that were staying there when we got there.  So we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.  We were a little nervous about bringing a baby just in case he cried through the night or needed quiet to take naps.  But... Logan is such a chill baby that he did wonderful!  We brought the pack and play and he did great! He took naps in Mimi's arms a lot.  Mimi had knee surgery about 3 months prior and even thought we lost power and the elevator broke, Mimi was able to tackle the stairs.  

So we can now say, we sat through a Category 1 Hurricane.  Josh and the girls stayed oceanfront while Logan and I stayed at Aunt Amanda's house.  They said it was really loud.  

August included this beach trip and Josh starting a new job at 84 Lumber. Josh has to be at his job at 7 AM so that means our mornings look different.  Logan has been sleeping till about 7 or 7:30 am and then Josh took Logan to Nana's on his way to the YMCA in the morning.  So this meant that I would need to take him to Nana's in the morning and Josh would be leaving the house at 6:30 am.  We transitioned pretty good.  I have been waking Logan up around 6:30-6:45 am, spend some time with him and then take him to Nana's around 7:20-7:30 am so that I can get back home and start work at 8 am.  I am working from home right now totally and not going into the Regus Office due to COVID.   I mainly work Monday through Thursday 8 am till 3:30 pm.  The girls are set to start school August 17th on Kaitlyn's birthday and it will be fully remote/at home for now.  

We moved Kaitlyn's desk into my office/nursery so that one of them can work in there with me and I can keep an eye on them.

We took family photos at the beach one night and we wore our new clothes that we got when we went shopping one day.  Look how beautiful Kaitlyn is!

Logan's first time on a boat.  He was a little unsure at first but then he relaxed.  He didn't care for the life jacket he had to wear.  He eventually fell asleep to the movement and noise.

Daddy's New Job!!! We are so proud of him stepping out of his comfort zone and trying something new.  He has been wanting to get into Sales for a long time!

Here is Logan's 6 month pictures but they were taken closer to him being 7 months.  I forgot to include them in the previous post.  I didn't have any white onezies that fit him so I had to just put his sticker on a colored outfit.

Josh wasn't with us so it was just me and the kids at the river.  Logan always does well!

Kaitlyn turns 11 !!! And it is their first day of school - Online!

We had a few friends over for Kaitlyn's birthday and we did takeout. Again it is a weird birthday because we are still in COVID times and you can't have large crowds.

Weston is 2 Years’s old & Hurricane Helene

Weston started preschool for the first time in August. We were nervous about him biting other children as he bites an often. He will bite our shoulders when things do lot go his way. He enjoys going to nursery at church and childcare at the YMCA so we were hopeful he would enjoy it. So far he has done great! I did get a notice from the school that he had been bit by another child. I had to read it twice to make sure I read it right but I did. Weston is very outgoing and likes interacting with the people he is around.   Weston still doesn’t use many words but it is increasing at a slow rate.  He can say Mama, Dada, Go, Bubble, Ball, Hello, Up, Hi, and Out.  We have started him in speech therapy.  Weston is starting to be more of a daddy’s boy. Boy How Time Flies!

Well I can't believe Addison is 17 months old and Kaitlyn is a few days away from being 2 months old! We are all doing well. Addison is saying more and more words. She pretty much tries to repeat most of the words we say. Josh just keeps saying "She is so much fun". Addison is becoming more of a daddy's girl since I am always nursing Kaitlyn or picking up the house. She says "Dada" much more than "Mama." She now calls my father Papa and my mom Mimi. My father came up this weekend and if any of you know my father, of course, he bought us doughnuts. And Addison definitely knows the word doughnuts due to my dad. I am having to look for winter clothes for Addison so I am on the hunt for cheap winter outfits for her. Clothes are so expensive! Kaitlyn is growing out of all of her newborn size clothes but I keep putting them on her because I know she will never wear these cute outfits ever again. She has started cooing and she smiles a lot. 1 Year Old Birthday Party

I can't believe Addison is a year old today!! She had a wonderful turnout at her birthday party this past Saturday. I believe there were over 35 people total that came! She got many clothes, toys and socks. We are so thankful for all of her gifts. Tonight Josh and I took her to Cracker Barrell so she could have a pancake on her actual birthday. We sang "Happy Birthday" to her many times today and each time she smiled really big at us while we sang to her. Isn't this sweet! Addison with her aunt Kim. This is 4 generations and Addison was reaching for her aunt Kim. Here she wasn't being shy anymore. This was her personal cake and she wasn't sure if she could touch it.
