At 6 months old, Logan is sitting up by himself. He is eating baby food about once a day. He smiles all the time. He is still sleeping well at night.
Josh has been the Executive Director of the Hendersonville YMCA for the last four years and there have been times he has had to stand against the grain at his job due to his conservative values. He decided it was time to make a change and he accepted a position at as Outside Sales at 84 Lumber. While at the same time the YMCA is hurting really bad because the Governor of NC has not allowed them to open due to COVID. Executives are having to take unpaid leave. During the week that Josh had to take before he left the YMCA, we decided to go on a family vacation. We had heard many good things about Hilton Head but had never been so we decided to try it for our vacation and were not disappointed. We had a blast.
Logan in his carseat. Notice his eyelashes.
I tried on his Clemson hat and it seems I tried it on a little late as it was too small for his head. His head circumference is in the 90%. We joke and say he has a head like his uncle Jeff because his uncle Jeff doesn't fit in many hats.
This is a picture from Dolly's Ice-cream Shop outside of Pisgah Forest. Wetried to go to Sliding Rock as a Connect Group but it was closed that day but we still had fun.
This was a picture at Josh's YMCA Going Away Party at Bold Rock. He had a wonderful turn out and many people had positive things to say about Josh. Some spoke of how Josh was willing to do whatever it took and he wasn't above any task. They will greatly miss Josh at the YMCA.
They decorated his car before his Going Away Party.
This is a picture of Logan while we were visiting Aunt Jenny in Alpharetta, GA. He was looking up at Ollie, Jenny's roommate's dog.
Notice how he is moving off of his mat. He isn't crawling yet but he can pull himself across the floor. He can get to where he wants to get.
Aunt Jenny got to take Logan to her work and show him off. Proud aunt Jenny! The girls love visiting their aunt Jenny as she spoils them!! She is a director at the City Parks and Rec and she runs a fun day camp that the girls stayed at for a week.
This was a picture Nana sent me one day while she was keeping Logan and I was working. I love when she sends me pictures. It makes me being away from him during the day much easier.
The girls were still visiting aunt Jenny so Josh and I took Logan and Remi downtown Hendersonville for fun morning with breakfast outside.
Family Beach Trip in Hilton Head 2020! We had so much fun! We are a family of 5!
An attempt of the family on the beach
Mama decorated his picture
Mama and her children - We went to a Seafood Restaurant that was really yummy!
Look at my adorables!
Do you like my sunhat?
Daddy with his boy at the beach!! This was his first time sitting in the ocean water. He loves water! All temperatures! River Water, Bath Water, Ocean water
When we got to Hilton Head, we were riding bikes around the Island and someone yelled at Josh as they drove by and it ended up being the Maltby family. So we got to spend a lot of time with them while we were there. The girls loved getting to play with James, Parker and Anna Grace. They were very hospitable and we ate dinner with them two nights and I took the kids bike riding after supper. Many memories!
I try to sit still sometimes and just enjoy the time when Logan falls asleep in my arms. It was very hot, like in the 90s while we were at the beach so we dressed Logan in very cool outfits. The pools and the ocean water were warm even for me!! I loved it as I didn't have to build up the nerve to get into the water.
Logan taking a nap on Daddy's chest
Logan and Mama on the beach. See my shark bathing suit!
Logan usually took at least one nap on the beach.
Riding on Daddy's back as we walked around the shops. Notice the mask around Josh's neck that we had to wear when we went into stores.
Sissy and Bubba and his chew toy that we bought at one of the boutique shops
Other Sissy and Bubby as Addison calls him. Notice her sweating as it was so hot.
This was one of the first pictures we took when we got to the beach. We left the house at 4:00 in the morning because Logan hasn't been super happy in the car when he is awake. He is fine as long as he is sleeping but when he wakes up he wants out. So we got there before 10:00 am but couldn't check in till 4 pm. We ate breakfast at a cute place and this was the first time Logan sat in a high chair at a restaurant.
Mama and her little boy
Notice our neat room in the background. It had a wrapped staircase.
We got good use of the backpack carrier. It was a decent walk to the beach so just carrying him was a little hard with all of the other stuff I had to carry.
The girls were patiently waiting for their breakfast.
Mama's best friend and Logan. AKA Aunt Kim loves her some Logan.
