Addison Lane, Kaitlyn Leigh, Logan Grant and Weston Kenneth

Josh was off of work for a week after Logan was born and I am very thankful that he took this time off to be with us at home.  Addison and Kaitlyn happened to be out of school the first few days after Logan was born and therefore we all got to be together those first few days at home.  The girls wanted to hold him all of the time and they loved showing him off to their friends.  Addison was a little more hands on than Kaitlyn. I had to adjust to the girls wanting to sit right beside me or practically on top of me while nursing :)   Addison made the Rugby Middle School Cheerleading Team for basketball.  We were so proud of her for trying out because she had never cheered before. But having a newborn and two pre-teens who are active has been an adjustment and not the easiest thing. Getting to Addison's basketball games and picking her up from practice at a certain time was a little difficult some days due to nursing and it taking us a little while ...

I had Logan on Thursday and we went home that Saturday mid - afternoon.  Even though we already had two little girls, we were a little nervous to put Logan in the car seat.  We wanted to make sure we had him in there right. When we pulled up to the house, we were surprised with balloons on the mailbox and a clean and decorated house.  The girls were super excited about their baby brother coming home and asked Mimi and Poppy to get them some things to decorate the house.  The girls had cleaned the house with the help of Mimi and Poppy.  My dad even vacuumed and wiped down the front door from Remi's paw prints.  Speaking of Remi, she got to meet her new addition to her family.  Josh brought home one of Logan's hospital blankets the day before to introduce Logan's smell.  Overall, she did really well with him.  Her biggest adjustment to Logan was her not getting all of the attention anytime we had a visitor come over.  Uncle Jeff...

Well, today is February 28th, 2020 and Logan is 6 weeks old.  It has taken me this long to do his first post. Logan arrived on Thursday, January 16th at 5:18 pm.  I was induced at 39 weeks because Dr. Arcara believed that 39 weeks had proven to be a good time to be induced with lower rates of complications.  I had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am.  Nana, aka Linda Simpson, spent the night with us and we all got up and made it to the hospital before 5:30 am.  We were all very excited to meet Logan.   I gained about 45 pounds through the pregnancy and my feet were very swollen the last week.   Overall though, the pregnancy was smooth and Logan moved a lot in my stomach.
