Back to Work

Well I am back to work now. I started last Tuesday. It was a long day but I never got anxious thanks to our precious Lord. Thank you everyone for your prayers, calls, and comments on Facebook. The only time I cried was on Monday and that was just once. My schedule goes like this: wake up at 5:30 am, take a quick shower and get ready, wake up Kaitlyn and nurse her at 6:00 am, then pump, then play with her for about ten minutes, then get my lunch and Addison and I's breakfast made, get all of my breastmilk pump bottles ready for the day, get Addison up around 7:00 - 7:15am and feed her, eat my breakfast, play with her for about 10 minutes, get the diaper bag ready to go, get Kaitlyn in her carseat, grab everything and get in the car by 7:40 am to take the girls to the Simpson's in Etowah in hopes to get to work by 8:25 am.. It wasn't too bad last week but I didn't have to take the girls to Simpson's but two times last week. This week I will take them everyday a...

Asheville Christmas Parade

I wanted to take Addison to the parade this year because I thought she would have fun watching the floats and bands. And I was right she did have a good time. My mom came up this past Thursday to help with the girls so I could go to Bible Study Thursday night and then to watch them while I got a list of stuff done in the house before I go back to work. With the help of my mom I got all of our clothes caught up, our blinds shortened, blog updated, all of our furniture dusted, toys cleaned out, hair cut... I asked my mom to stay till Saturday so she could go with me to the parade to help with Kaitlyn so I could focus on Addison. Josh had to work the parade so that is why we usually go to the Asheville parade. I think Addison had a lot of fun. She was a little unsure about it at first but then she warmed up to it. She held her ears a lot when the bands or music was really loud. Kaitlyn slept through the whole thing. Here are some pictures. I held Kaitlyn for a short time so Mimi could p...

Beach Trip, Clemson Game, and Josh's Football Game

It has been a busy few last weeks. We went to Atlantic Beach, NC and stayed for a few days for Josh's work trip. I decided since I was on maternity leave and we had the option to go and stay at an oceanfront hotel with Josh we would take advantage of it. I was a little nervous about the 7 and 1/2 hour drive with Addison but she did wonderful. She didn't even ask for the Elmo DVD until we were over half way there. Kaitlyn might have even fussed more than Addison and that was just about the last 30 minutes. Josh was in a conference all day so the girls and I hung out in the hotel room that overlooked the ocean all day. I was also nervous about all of us sleeping in the same room. I wasn't sure if Addison would go down fine if we awake still in the room but she went down great all three nights and so did Kaitlyn. One funny/gross story from the trip was when Josh got Addison out of her pack n play the second morning she had went to the bathroom real bad, but we didn't know ...

Visiting Sisters, Pigeon Forge, Halloween and Miss Claire!

Image
We have been quite busy lately. Three weekends ago we went to visit my sister in Boone, NC, then two weekends ago we went to Pigeon Forge, TN for some good outlet shopping and some Fall fun and last weekend we went to Atlanta,GA and this past weekend we got to meet Miss Claire, my sister's newborn baby. So... I have a lot to write about. Our first trip was to my sister's in Boone. We had a lot of fun! We relaxed, we shopped, we watched Addison climb up and down her steps, we went to my sister's baby shower at her work, and we relaxed some more. I lost my camera on the trip but thankfully I found it. Someone turned it in at TJ Max and my sister went and picked it up for me. God is good and faithful. Next trip was to Pigeon Forge, TN. Aunt Aunt Kim went with us. We are cherishing every moment with her since she is getting ready to move to Virginia Beach. Her husband Don will be finishing Navy Officer school this coming week and they are being stationed in Virginia Beach. We ...
