Snuggling with Aunt Pam

Well, I had hoped to be better about getting posts done but life with two teenagers and two little boys does not allow for much sitting time.   I really can’t believe that Weston will be one already in a few days!!!  He took his first steps while I was in Texas for work. He was with Nana and uncle Jeff.

Weston got down the crawling and he can crawl super fast.  He can disappear from a room in seconds. He smile still lights up a room and radiates through his whole body even under his pacifier.  He isn’t a big eater as we can only get him to eat 3-4 bites of anything. He drinks four bottles a day and goes to bed very easily around 8:00 pm.  He does not like his diaper changed!  He cries and fights us almost every time we change his diaper.  He also doesn’t not like to be put down in the mornings shortly after he wakes up or in the evenings around supper time.  He would prefer someone to hold him.

Nana is keeping him on Mondays,Wednesdays and Thursdays and Mimi and Poppy keep him on Tuesdays.   Weston still loves his pacifier but doesn’t have to have it all of the time   He sleeps at night with a light blue soft changing pad cover.  Mimi used this for a blanket a few times because it is so soft that now he sleeps with it every night.

Weston loves to watch his big brother play and he tries to play with him some.  The longest times that Weston has laughed and cackles have been when he watching Logan do something.  Weston got a bad rash that we ended up having to get medicine for and eventually change diapers.

So far Weston seems to like Mexican food the best!  That is the only thing he will eat more than two bites of.  He really likes bean dip.

Logan is in official preschool now.  He goes to First Baptist of Hendersonville on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  His teachers are Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Turbyfill.  Logan is now potty trained and no longer has his pacifier!   He did these two things around the same time between 3 1/2 and 3 3/4 years old.  We were so proud of him.

He is not sleeping in his own bed or bedroom yet but we will get there.  Logan is doing well in school. He has told us that he does not get in trouble at school and the teachers at school have told us he is very well mannered. Logan still loves guns, knives, trucks and any type of tool.  He loves to be pushed on the swing in our backyard.   He recently has learned how to do a flip on the trampoline.  He also loves roasting marshmallows over the fire in the backyard.

Logan still takes one nap a day on the afternoon and usually goes to bed around 9:00 pm.   Logan loves playing with Weston and is a big help to me at times. He doesn’t mind sharing his toys most of the time.

Kaitlyn is playing volleyball at her middle school.  She is doing awesome!  She is playing the whole game. She plays setter, hitter and back row. Addison and Kaitlyn both went to church camp over the summer and loved it! Kaitlyn is currently a leader in FCA and she just started a prayer locker at her school with her friend Maggie.  Kaitlyn is a big help to us at times when she helps cook dinner or watch the boys. We work out at the YMCA a few mornings a week and she comes and sleeps with Logan while we are gone.  Addison can’t be the one to do this because she sleeps through all of her alarms and we are afraid she wouldn’t hear the boys crying.

Addison is running Cross Country and is doing great!   I admire her for doing this sport as it is such a mental game.  It’s just you, your mind and your body out there on the course.  There is no ball to distract you or a team member to pass to when you get tired.  She loves hanging out with her friends on her team.  Addison did surf camp again this summer with her cousins.  She loves the beach like her mama and wished she could visit more often.  Right now, she thinks she wants to go to UNCW.  Addison is in a leaders group in her FCA.  We are so proud of the her.  She takes all honors classes and keeps her grades usually at A’s and B’s.

Both girls have an interesting way of keeping their bedrooms cleaned.  One moment their room is spotless and the next minute it looks like a bomb blew off.
