Addison's Baby Dedication

We finally did Addison's Baby Dedication at church on today. Josh's parents said "They were going to have to dedicate her if we didn't"as a result of seeing other babies much younger than Addison getting dedicated every Sunday. She joked that she knew we really weren't heathern parents but... We picked a dress out for her to wear and we actually had to get to church before service started since the baby dedications are held right before the service. We made it on time and were even early! Nannie and Papa Bill came up from Greenville, SC and aunt Jenny came up from Atlanta, GA to see us dedicate Addison to the Lord. Josh and I have a very strong committment to bring Addison up in a Christian home and desire to be the parents God wants us to be.

You will notice in the video that Addison has recently learned to wave and give "high five". Watch closely to her hands and listen to the congregation. She was a hoot during her dedication. It made me think she is going to have her daddy's personality for sure because I was very nervous being up on the stage and Addison wasing having a ball.

Oh Laura ... she was enjoying to have a big audience, they are just so cute aren't they, full of personality and without any fear.

Congratulations on the dedication of Miss Addison and I know without any doubt you and Josh will teach her the beauty of the love of the Lord! He certainly has great plans for her.

Thanks for posting this, I'm so glad I got to see her dedication! She was hilarious, and I think you might be right about her being like her daddy. Addison is a beautiful little girl, ya'll are so blessed!

Well I can't believe Addison is 17 months old and Kaitlyn is a few days away from being 2 months old! We are all doing well. Addison is saying more and more words. She pretty much tries to repeat most of the words we say. Josh just keeps saying "She is so much fun". Addison is becoming more of a daddy's girl since I am always nursing Kaitlyn or picking up the house. She says "Dada" much more than "Mama." She now calls my father Papa and my mom Mimi. My father came up this weekend and if any of you know my father, of course, he bought us doughnuts. And Addison definitely knows the word doughnuts due to my dad. 1 Year Old Birthday Party

I can't believe Addison is a year old today!! She had a wonderful turnout at her birthday party this past Saturday. I believe there were over 35 people total that came! She got many clothes, toys and socks. We are so thankful for all of her gifts. Tonight Josh and I took her to Cracker Barrell so she could have a pancake on her actual birthday. We sang "Happy Birthday" to her many times today and each time she smiled really big at us while we sang to her. Isn't this sweet! Addison with her aunt Kim. This is 4 generations and Addison was reaching for her aunt Kim. Here she wasn't being shy anymore. This was her personal cake and she wasn't sure if she could touch it. The Beach Trip

We went to Garden City Beach, SC for a week at Memorial Day with Mimi, Papa, Aunt Amanda and Uncle Ted, and Aunt Miranda and Uncle Brock. We had a blast! We got to stay in a nice beach house within walking distance of the beach and it was perfect. Addison loved the beach. She didn't mind the sand one bit. She was a little skittish of the ocean but loved the pool! Addison is getting around very fast now. She can walk very well especially with her new little Saucony tennis shoes I got her. She is on cow's milk now but we are still working on getting off the sippy cup. Any suggestions are appreciated. We are now preparing for baby sister Kaitlyn Leigh to arrive. We have about 8 1/2 more weeks till she should get here. I know it will be here before we know it. We have two white cribs in the nursery now and had to move out the rocker.
