Logan's First Camping Trip at 3 Months Old

Image
We have been getting a little Stir-Crazy so we decided to do something that we always talk about but never make the time for and that is - CAMPING.  All of the campgrounds are closed due to COVID-19 but we can still go on private land.  Nana and Josh's aunt own 133 acres in Black Mountain so decided that we could go there.  Uncle Jeff was off work so he was able to go with us. We took the girls' Go Kart and loaded up.  We were a little nervous about it being too cold for Logan but we decided we could bundle him up.  It got down to 42 degrees at night.  We had an wonderful time and it was so nice for a change of scenery for the girls and Josh and I. Standing by the fire before it got freezing. Logan slept in his pack-n-play the first half of the night and then beside daddy the second half of the night Us on our hik during the day on Saturday The Girls Up Close Josh cooking our Yummy breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits an...

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)

The word for this time period in history is for sure "Corona Virus"  In the middle of February we began to hear about a virus that was killing people in China.  We then heard about how people in Italy were getting this virus and how they were not allowed to leave their house.  It sounded like something off of movie until it started affecting us in the United States.  It started with the girls sports events being cancelled and then their school was cancelled for two months and eventually for the rest of the school year. Addison and Kaitlyn are currently doing school from home on their Chrome Books.  Our church stopped meeting and we have Zoom Video Calls to stay connected with our Connect Group (Sunday School Class). We are not supposed to leave our house except for the grocery store or to take care of a loved one.  We are supposed to wear masks when we go into stores.  All restaurant lobbies are shut down. Below is some excerpts from the World Healt...

Logan's First Month went by really fast.  I bought him stickers to put on his shirt to identify when he was 1 month, 2 months, etc... and I was late to do his first month picture.  He is almost 6 weeks old by the time I remembered to do it.  I am hoping to be better from here on out at taking a picture closer to the actual day. Life is busy. We finished up Addison's cheer leading season and then right into track season.  The girls still love spending time with Logan but in short snippets.  They will ask to hold him and then 3 minutes later give him back.  Kaitlyn is getting more comfortable with him.  He still loves his bath.  Mimi and Poppy have came up a few times.  We went down to Greenville to celebrate Mimi's birthday at Olive Garden and Logan did really well. Logan started sleeping through the night at about 8 weeks.  It probably would have been sooner but i was waking him up to feed him to keep up my milk supply but I finally s...
