Addison Lane, Kaitlyn Leigh, Logan Grant and Weston Kenneth

Its hard to believe that Addison is over 2 1/2 and Kaitlyn is 16 months! This is my third Christmas as a mother and each one has been a neat rewarding experience.  I have to say that putting up the Christmas Tree was surely the most interesting this year.   Both girls were awake.and we decided to make it a family event.  We soon found out that there was not going to be any ornaments on the bottom of our tree due to Kaitlyn.  She was taking them off as fast as we were putting them on the tree.  I really wish I had As far as Christmas morning both sets of grandparents were here at the house with us when the girls woke up along with uncle Jeff and aunt Jenny.  Josh and I made homemade biscuits and my mom made gravy.  Addison woke up around 7:45 am and we decided to go ahead and wake up Kaitlyn so they could see what Santa brought them at the same time.  It took little Kaitlyn a while to wake up.  We changed their diapers and then let them...

  We took Addison  to the Asheville Christmas Parade this past Saturday.  Nana kept Kaitlyn since she was all over the place when we took her to the Apple Festival Parade a few months ago.  We thought this would be good time for her and Nana and good time for mommy and daddy with just Addison.  I think she had a really good time.  If you asked her what she saw at the parade, she said, “the band (marching band), fire truck, and candy.” Yes she loved getting the candy that they handed out.  She was so cute because she would hold her little hands out for them to put candy in her hand and then they may walk by and give her some or not.  And I felt so sorry for her when they would pass her by but I know that’s life and she will not always get what she wants even if its just candy and that is actually good for her to experience.   On Sunday it was uncle Jeff’s birthday and both of the girls love their uncle Jeff!  He let them share in...

Boy how time flies! Kaitlyn had her 15 month check up today and poor thing has a double ear infection.  Both of the girls have been sick for the last few days.  Addison thankfully did not have an ear infection.  We went ahead and killed a  few birds with one stone today at the doctor’s office  by getting in Kaitlyn’s 15 month check up, Kaitlyn sickness check  and Addison sickness check and a flu shot for each of them.  Kaitlyn weighed 23 and 12/16 pounds and was 32.5 inches long and Addison weighed 29 10/16 pounds and was 39 inches long.  The doc tor said Kaitlyn was right on track and for us to slowly take the pacifier away from her.   The doctor also confirmed it is time to commit to potty training Addison so Ah!!!!  if anyone has any suggestions please share!  I am off work next Wednesday and go back the following Tuesday so I am thinking this would be a good time.  Addison and Kaitlyn have become quite the funny pair...
